Re:
1. Make FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt UN-DO The NY/NJ/PHL Airspace Redesign
2. Fire FAA’s Hank Krakowski and Steven (Steve) Ray Kelley

Dear Secretary LaHood:

The 300,000 people who live in Rockland County, New York need you to compel new FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt to UN-DO the FAA’s ill-conceived and harmful NY/NJ/PHL Airspace Redesign (“Redesign”).

Over one (1) month ago, Mr. Babbitt promised Senator Frank Lautenberg and the Senate CS&T Committee in his Congressional testimony to involve Air Traffic Controllers in consideration of Northeast airspace. Yet to our knowledge to date Mr. Babbitt has failed to do so. Meanwhile Mr. Babbitt’s FAA has gaily announced that it is proceeding full-bore with the Redesign:

Of course, if Randy Babbitt spoke with any Air Traffic Controller working the Northeast’s airspace, Randy Babbitt would learn that the Redesign is unimplementable as currently constituted:

Why is this regime of the FAA, just like the last one, still refusing to listen to and involve the Air Traffic Controllers, the true aviation experts that actually know what they are talking about?

In related matters, both Airspace Redesign “Project Manager” Steven Ray (Steve) Kelley, and COO Henry (Hank) Krakowski, inexplicably continue to work at FAA. Kelley and Krakowski must be fired immediately:

http://indictsturgell.blogspot.com/2009/06/randy-babbitt-fire-steven-ray-steve.html

As failed former Administrator, “Bobby” Sturgell bore responsibility for over 4,000 aviation fatalities occurring on his FAA “watch” since 2003. Though Sturgell has now rightfully been tossed to the aviation scrap-heap, your new Administrator Babbitt still employs at least two other failed federal officials who are each responsible for mid-air deaths themselves:

http://indictsturgell.blogspot.com/2009/06/randy-babbitt-fire-henry-hank-krakowski.html
It is no surprise that these two goons, Kelley and Krakowski, are integral to FAA’s foolish and inhuman pursuit of the Redesign which threatens to route up to 600 additional jumbo-jets per day over densely-populated minority-resident neighborhoods in New York, New Jersey, and elsewhere.

Secretary LaHood, we all already know that Inspector General Mary Schiavo dubbed FAA “The Tombstone Agency” a number of years ago, and the moniker stuck. But why is your DOT now itself perpetuating that same ignominious reputation in the form of FAA’s continued employment of Killer Kelley and Killer Krakowski?

Is it in fact a pre-requisite to have helped kill people in mid-air, so as to hope to become an FAA official?

Respectfully yours,

John J. Tormey III, Esq.
